Kara Sinsel, 50, of Shawnee, KS, passed away, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Kara was born September 2, 1967 in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School. She worked as a licensed massage therapist. She was very generous with her time serving a variety of charities. She volunteered giving massages to patients for Kansas City Hospice. She was a member of the Overland Park 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Kara joined the LDS church on August 9, 1990 and served a mission in upstate New York.
She married Chris Sinsel on April 25, 1998 at the San Diego LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband, Chris, her mother, Vonnie (Steve) Harvey of Sabetha, KS; her father, Irv Jameson of Sun City, AZ; her sisters, Mara Jameson, Dara Jameson, and Katy Massengill; nephews, Joseph, Gabriel, and Lupin; a niece, Lucy; all the Sinsel family and nieces and nephews and many "adopted" nieces and nephews along with numerous friends and family coast to coast.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7100 Hadley, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow in Bucyrus Cemetery, Bucyrus, KS.
