Kathleen Barnes

We are sad to announce the passing of Kathleen “Kathy” Marie Barnes of Shawnee, KS. Kathy died on 11/23/23 at age 59. Kathy was a longtime member of the service industry in and around the Kansas City Metro area and was a local favorite of many of the customers. She was also someone who cared deeply about her family and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents James and Vivian Moore and her older sister Leslie Ober. She is survived by her husband Michael Starnes, her children Brook Barnes and Timothy and his wife Tricia Barnes, her sisters Mary and her husband Stuart Foland and Diane Huttie, and her brother Kenny and his wife Teri Moore. Kathy’s visitation will be at Amos Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS on 11/29/23 at 11 AM with a service to follow. She will be buried at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee, KS shortly after.
