Kathleen Mary Moser

Kathleen Mary Moser, 76, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home in Olathe, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Moser.   She leaves three siblings, John Moser and his wife Carol; Linda Moser Langer and her husband Richard; and Stephen Moser and his wife Dianna.  She also leaves her nephew Bryan Moser, his wife Brittany and their children Camdyn and Jake.

Kathy was born on June 22, 1947, in Leavenworth, Kansas.   She overcame health challenges since infancy and defied the odds of an early diagnosis that she would never be employed.  She worked her entire adult life at Advent Health Shawnee Mission hospital, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service.

Kathy enjoyed family birthday celebrations and attending family reunions.  Her hobbies included needlework, macramé, acrylic painting and quilting.  She suffered a stroke at age 30, and lost her enthusiasm for many of the hobbies that had brought her pleasure.

She remained in the family home in Shawnee until she moved to Gardens at Creekside, a senior living community in Olathe, where she enjoyed playing bingo with her fellow residents.

She will be remembered for her laugh, her courage in the face of overwhelming odds, and her German stubbornness.

Visitation will be from 10:00am-12:00pm, Friday, February 23, 2024.  Graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
