Kathy L. Boesche

Kathy Boesche, 64, of Shawnee, KS, passed away, Wed., Sept. 6, 2017.   She was born in Kansas City, MO to Francis and Mary Ann Dutton Boesche and raised in Fairway, KS. She was a graduate of Bishop Miege High School ('71) and Benedictine College ('75). Kathy's work life centered around the travel industry, including Travelodge and HRM Marketing, which she managed for almost 20 years.  This afforded her many wonderful travel opportunities.

Kathy was most known to her family and friends for her wit, intelligence and ability to express profound emotions through poetry. She was generous and kind to all, and especially loved children. Kathy could (and would) talk to anyone; no one she met remained a stranger for long.  All who knew Kathy were lucky to have been a part of her life. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kevin Boesche. Survivors include a sister, Karen Reed, her husband Pat Reed, their sons:  Chris Reed and his wife Jennifer (children Noah and Samantha), Matt Reed and his fiancé Jennifer Corpuz, and Dave Reed and his wife Annie (children Jake and Danny.)

Kathy was also survived by her brother, Kurt Boesche, and his two children, Alex Boesche and Jessica Boesche.
