Kathy Jane (Sherry) Rottinghaus

Kathy Jane (Sherry) Rottinghaus, 71, of Overland Park, Kansas, was surrounded by love when she was called home to the Lord on February 7, 2022

Kathy was born to Loyd and Virginia Sherry on August 13, 1950 in Connersville, Indiana. She was the middle of 5 children and with her dad being military she traveled and lived all over the United States. Once military life ended, the family settled into civilian life in Kansas, where Kathy was among the first graduating class of Shawnee Mission South Highschool in 1968.
Later in life Kathy graduated from the Concorde Career College dental assisting program, but of all Kathy's endeavors and jobs, the accomplished she was most proud of were her three kids, who in turn gave her her favorite title of grandma.

Those left forever missing her are her oldest Son, Aron Rottinghaus (Basehor, KS) Daughter, Kendra Gibson [(Tyler Gibson) (Merriam, KS)] youngest Son, Joshua Rottinghaus [(Megan Rottinghaus) (Overland Park, KS)] as well as her eight grand babies Reese, Audrey, Blaise Rottinghaus (Aron), Colby, Riley, Maisy Gibson (Kendra), and Scarlett and Emma Rottinghaus (Josh).

A celebration of life luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Merriam Community Center. All that loved her are welcome. Blue was her favorite color, please honor her by coming in your favorite shade.
