Keith Kwapiszeski

May 17, 1973 — March 24, 2014

This world lost a great man on March 24, 2014. Keith Kwapiszeski passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He left behind his wife Beth of a nearly 15 year marriage and three children Kade age 7, Jack age 6 and Grace age 3. Other survivors include his parents, Ralph and Janet Kwapiszeski; his mother and father in law, Bill and Sandy Fry; a grandmother Mildred Arkfeld; 3 brothers and their spouses, Brad and Francie Kwapiszeski; Mark and Alecia Kwapiszeski; Gary and Julie Kwapiszeski. Three sisters and their spouses, Carol and Andy Spahn; Lori and Shane Carpenter; and Mary and Pat Bernard. Two brothers-in-law, Dennis Ross and Brian Fry. 16 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Keith was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in June of 2008 when their second son was just 4 months old. He was given on average 18 months to survive. Keith and Beth battled this form of brain cancer relentlessly while refusing to let it control their lives.

Keith's career began in Houston in 1995 in the oil and gas industry. He spent most of his career working as a Natural Gas Trader followed by a few years as a Gas Broker. He continued to work in his profession until November 2013. In the nearly 6 years since his diagnosis, Keith and Beth were blessed with another baby, built a new home, and raised their sons to participate in soccer, baseball and basketball. They refused to concede their lives to this disease.

Keith was born on May 17, 1973. He grew up playing kick the can at dusk, soccer and basketball and golf. Keith was team captain of his high school soccer team and won many awards and accolades. He went to St. Mary's University his freshman year on a soccer scholarship and transferred to the University of Kansas his sophomore year. He graduated from K.U. in 1995 with a degree in Business Administration.

Keith's family and friends will miss this strong, loving man that loved his family with all his heart, loved his golf, loved to work and loved to play. Loved to drive his boat at lake Travis so fast someone was always yelling,"to slow down" in the back of the boat…meanwhile he somehow just couldn't hear us. God only knows how much this man will be missed.
