Kenneth Francis Bradshaw, 82, of Lenexa, KS, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2015, surrounded by his family.

He was a lifelong Lenexa resident born February 18, 1933, to Grace Wedd Bradshaw and Edward D Bradshaw; Ken's late ancestors founded the City of Lenexa, Kansas.

Ken is preceded in death by his daughter Carol Jean Bradshaw-Fox, Sisters Virginia Coffelt and Shirley Kaczenski, and Brother Edward D Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife Florine Ann Burnett Bradshaw, children Cheryl Kantor, Mary (Ben) Martin, and Edward (Angie) Bradshaw. He was the proud grandfather of Jessica Martin, Brian (Katie) Kantor, Erin Kantor, and Bryan, Amanda and Jacob Bradshaw.

Ken and Florine celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 12, 2015. He graduated from Olathe High School in 1951 and from Garden City Junior College in 1953. Ken retired from Kansas City Power & Light after 39 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed the outdoors through hunting, gardening, and fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks. Kenneth was a member of the Lenexa United Methodist Church, Lenexa VFW, Sons of the American Legion and the Lenexa Gun Club.

The family will receive friends at 2:00pm Saturday October 24, 2015, at the Lenexa United Methodist Church at 9138 Caenen Lake Road, Lenexa, KS. A celebration of his life will follow at 3:00pm at the Church. He will be buried at Lenexa Cemetery where he had served as a volunteer for many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Lenexa United Methodist Church or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 10200 W. 75th St. Suite 100, Shawnee Mission, KS 66204. The family would like to say a special thank you to Angela, Blake and Sharmin from Compassionate Care Hospice for the loving care they gave to Kenneth.
