Kenneth Oberg, 91, of Shawnee, KS passed away, Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Kenneth was born in Salina, KS. He played basketball at Kansas State from 1942 -43 before entering the Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked as a sales manager for Cook Paint and Varnish Company. On September 11, 2014, Kenneth had the privilege of taking an "Honor Flight" to Washington D.C. with his fellow veterans.
His wife, Annette Oberg preceded him in death in 2009.
Survivors include his son, Richard (Vicki) Oberg, Camdenton, MO; his daughter, Kaye (John) LeCluyse, Lenexa, KS; five grandchildren, Sean (Christine) Oberg, Wendi Oberg, Blake (Allison) LeCluyse, Blair (Kelly) LeCluyse, and Morgan (Brett) Rushton and 11 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Shawnee Hills and Interim Health Care for their wonderful and loving care.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
