Kevin F. Lake, 62 of Shawnee, Kan., passed away, Jan 15, 2016, at the Olathe Hospice House after a brief battle with cancer. He was born to Joan P. (Stanfield) Lake and Marne Lake on June 11, 1953 in Kansas City, Kan., and lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He is survived by his wife, Terri, Shawnee; daughters Jennifer M. Lake-Ramsey (Brandon) of Olathe and Elizabeth M. Lake of Lenexa; grandchildren Jacoby Balmer, Lorelei Balmer and Catherine Ramsey, Olathe, KS; sister-in-law Marilyn Lake, Des Moines, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Michael Lake. An avid musician and guitar player, Kevin played in many bands over the years, and loved performing. His passion for music crossed over into his career, where he held various positions in audio and video systems, the latest being for Avlex Corporation for the last 7 years. Kevin had a quick wit, a thirst for knowledge, a giving heart, and a devotion to the KC Chiefs. He loved to ski and never met a stranger. He will be missed, deeply. In
