Kevin T. Price

Kevin T. Price, 51, of Shawnee, KS passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, from cancer. Kevin was born August 21, 1964 to Robert and Carol (Scofield) Price in Flandreau, SD. He attended public school in Brandon, SD, graduating in 1982. Kevin married Jan Dylla in Andover, SD on June 1, 1996. Unto this union was born one daughter, Katie, on August 28, 2005, When Katie was born, Kevin’s entire life centered around being a Dad. He became a stay-at-home dad when Katie was 9 months-old. Their days were filled with fun activities like going to the park, building forts in our living room and playing ball - lots of ball. Kevin was truly present in every moment with Katie. Accepting God’s will and leaving a 10-year-old daughter was the most difficult thing Kevin ever had to do.

Later in life, Kevin earned college degrees from University Missouri Kansas City and Emporia State University. Kevin was employed as an Accountant at Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange in Lenexa, KS at the time of his death. Kevin was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS.

Kevin is survived by his wife and daughter of the home, Jan and Katie; mother Carol Price, Brandon, SD; sister Michele (Steve) Zoellner, Brandon, SD; brothers Cory Price; Aaron (Alisha) Price; and Adam (Sarah) Price all of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces/nephew Karissa, Steven and Alexis Zoellner; and Ava Price. He also leaves behind a father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Mick Dylla, Watertown, SD; and the Dylla family. Preceding Kevin in death are his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his father, Robert Price.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 24 at 10:00 am at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Shawnee KS. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 25 at 10:00 am at the Union Cemetery Flandreau, SD.
