October 13, 1965 — November 29, 2014

Kimberly Lyn Dunn, 49, of Shawnee, KS, passed away peacefully, on November 29, 2014, surrounded by loved ones at St. Luke's Hospice House, following an eight-year battle with cancer.

Kim is survived by her mother, Suzi Morse of Shawnee, KS; father, Glen Hanks (Dixie) of Fountain Hills, AZ; brother, Jeff Hanks (Sawa) of Tokyo, Japan; husband, Michael Dunn of Shawnee, KS, and her three beautiful, beloved daughters, Taylor Gardner (John) of Overland Park, KS, and Megan Dunn, 16, and Ginny Dunn, 12, of the home, as well as two adorable nieces, Anna and Mana, of Tokyo, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen and Virginia Hanks of Kansas City, MO, and Charles and Gladys (Woolcott) Morse of Ludlow, MO.

Kim was born on October 13, 1965, in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, KS, in 1984. Following graduation, Kim attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO, where she received a B.S. in Business. Following her marriage to Mike, Megan was born in 1998 and Ginny in 2002. Kim was such a devoted and loving mother who was passionately involved with the girl's activities both in and out of school. Besides her children, Kim adored her animals, dogs, Ashley and Freddie Freckles, and kitty, Moo Moo, and was able to have them visit her in hospice prior to her passing.

The visitation will be held at Crossroads Christian Church, 5855 Renner Rd, Shawnee, KS, from 9-10:45 am, on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The funeral will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Shawnee Mission Memorial Gardens, 23215 W. 75th St., Shawnee, KS 66227, immediately following the funeral.

Kim asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
