Kimberly "Kim" Ann Ralston passed away peacefully on February 24th, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri. Kim was born on June 3rd, 1961 in Waukon, Iowa. She attended high school at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Kim earned her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College in 1980.
Kim was an extremely loving person to everyone in her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was always the first person to help in any situation. She was fun to be around and up for a road trip to anywhere at any time. She remembered the details of every event and was the one you talked to when you wanted “the real story” of what happened. Kim loved telling stories and making jokes. Sometimes she would call just to say that something reminded her of you and that she was thinking about you. She could be very stubborn and speak her mind but she was usually always right anyway.
Kim enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She made Easter dresses almost every year for her nieces, and flower bouquets for their weddings.
Kim is survived by her sisters: Diantha Seaman, Elaine Anderson-Frazier and her brother Cavin Ralston, 13 nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 2-3pm, with a funeral service at 3pm, both at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS. She will be laid to rest following the service at Lenexa Cemetery in Lenexa, KS. For those unable to attend Kimberly's service in person, please click here to view the livestream of the service.
