Korean VanMeerhaeghe, 84 of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away December 23, 2016, at Olathe Hospice House with Marc and Lisa by her side.

Korean worked for the Gas Company for many years; Overland Park City Hall for a few year;s and owned and operated “The Gift Box” in Shawnee with her sister-in-law, Virginia. She co-owned and operated Van’s Produce along side her husband, Irvin and son, Marc, for 7 years. The business then turned retail as Marc’s Produce/Marc’s Gift & Garden Center, and run as a family by Irvin, Korean, Marc and Lisa for 34 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Irvin Van Meerhaeghe; father and mother, Charles and Catherine Beasley; brothers, Edwin, Jack, Charles (Bus) and Larry; and her two sisters, Betty and Rosemary.

Korean is survived by her son Marc (Lisa); two grandchildren, Rachel (Kyle) Harbaugh, and Paul Van Meerhaeghe; two great grandchildren, Mason and Will; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas.
