Krishnamurthy Bhavanasi

Krishnamurthy Bhavanasi, 88, of Overland Park, KS passed away on December 17th, 2018. He was born on August 10th, 1930 in Cuddapah, AP, India to Narayanaswami and Subbalakshmamma.  Krishnamurthy spent the majority of his life in India before moving to Overland Park, KS in 2013 to live with his son and daughter-in-law, Vivek and Meena. Before he came to Overland Park, KS, he spent time with all of his daughters in India and California.

Growing up, Krishnamurthy went to Gurukulam near Cuddapah, India. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Madras University in 1950. He married his wife Amruthavalli in 1954 in Nellore, India. They raised four kids, Nirmala, Syamala, Usha and Vivek. Krishnamurthy retired in 1986 as a Deputy Commissioner of Transport, AP Government, India. He spent most of his retired life spiritually associating with Ramakrishna Math. Some of his hobbies included walking, reading books and listening to devotional music. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his four children; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203 on Thursday, December 20th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
