Ladorna Stimpfel

LaDorna A. Stimpfel, 96, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.

LaDorna was born September 17, 1916, in Independence, Kansas, to William and Sarah Jane Harlan. She was a longtime member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. LaDorna was a beloved wife, a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Stimpfel on November 8, 1978. Survivors include her four daughters, Joan Isom, Theresa Wolfe, Mary Jane Zahner and Patricia and spouse, Chet Clark; son, Edward and spouse, Nancy Stimpfel; 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11:00 am Saturday at the church, where a rosary recitation will be at 10:00 am.
