Larry W. McGhee, 66 of Shawnee, KS passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Larry was born September 25, 1951 to the late Doyle and Grace McGhee in Garnett, KS.  After high school, Larry attended Allen County Community College and later earned a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University in 1973.  On October 18, 1975 Larry married Gail Pope in Kansas City. Larry served as a Vice President for UMB Bank before retiring in January of 2013.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gail McGhee; his three children, Steve McGhee and wife Megan; Bryan McGhee; Paige Blochberger and husband Scott; two sisters, Gerry Clark and husband Roger; Janet Tastove and husband Leo; a brother, Richard McGhee and wife Chris; and granddaughter Harper McGhee.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 am Saturday, December 16 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee.  A celebration of Larry's life will follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Larry will be laid to rest at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
