Lena I. Vaughan, 88, passed away May 2, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Lena was born March 3, 1928 to Elmer P. Hardin and Hazel M. Hardin in Nevada, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Vaughan and grandson Russell Slocum. Lena is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Slocum and Sharon McVey, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and we have no doubt that she, Ernest and Russell are together and getting ready to cast their lines to catch a big one.

Celebration of Life Services

The family is planning an informal Celebration of Life, Friday, May 6th from 6 to 8 pm at 8908 W. 51st Street, Merriam, KS 66203.
