Lenore England, 87, Lenexa, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Lenore was born December 1, 1929 to the late William H. and Mabel (Walmer) England in Overland Park, KS.  She graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School in 1948.  After graduation, Lenore went to work for Southwestern Bell.  She retired from AT&T in 1986 after 38 years of dedicated service.  Lenore was a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, she was also a member of Shawnee Saddle Club.  She enjoyed traveling overseas with her dear friend Pat DeLapp.  Lenore also looked forward to visiting Las Vegas with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Morris, a brother, William England and a nephew, Chris Soetaert.  She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Soetaert and husband Bert; Katharine Jo Morris and husband Don; 12 nieces and nephew; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10 to 11 am Thursday, March 2 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
