Leona Ellen Evans

Leona Ellen Evans, 86, Mission, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, Kansas.

Leona was born July 29, 1923 in Denver, Colorado to Arthur and Mary (McGavin) Bliss. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Sterling Evans in 1995 and son, Craig Danbury in 2000. Survivors include her two sons, Steve Danbury and his wife, Marilyn, Wenatchee, Washington and Brian Danbury and his wife, Suzie, San Francisco, California; two grandchildren, Patricia Danbury, Belton, Missouri and Scott Danbury, Lenexa, Kansas; and great granddaughter, Alayna Danbury.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Friends may call from 10-11:00 am Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7100 Hadley Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 18, 2010, at the church with burial following in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
