Leonard Avery Dillman

October 12, 1926 — May 29, 2011

Leonard A. Dillman, Chief Master Sergeant USAF, Ret. 84, Stockton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, Overland Park, Kansas.

Leonard was born October 12, 1926, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Noah and Ruth Dillman. He served in WWII with the United States Navy in the Mediterranean. After receiving an honorable discharge, he joined the Army Air Corps which evolved into the United States Air Force. Leonard had a distinguished 30 year career, serving in London, England, Reykjavik, Iceland as well as several sta-tions in the United States.

Upon his retirement from the Air Force in 1967, he was hired as a data analyst by Computer Services Corporation based in Church Falls, Virginia. Leonard worked 19 years for CSC in various locales including Tehran, Iran, Abu Dhabi, UAE as well as providing services for the Egyptian Air Force and the US Treasury Department.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Boyington) Dillman, Overland Park, Kansas; daughter, Marjorie Newton, North Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Patricia Lanch, Meadow Vista, California; two grandsons, Christopher Newton and Andrew Newton and various nieces and nephews.
