Leota M. Sauve Owen, of Shawnee, passed away March 11, 2017 at home surrounded by family.

Born in Windsor, Missouri to William T. and Bertha A. Riggs. Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Ladies Guild; Sagamore Chapter DAR; American Legion Auxiliary, and Ararat Shrine Legion of Honor.

Leota is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathryn White; husband of 40 yrs., Roy Sauve, second husband of 14 yrs., John Owen; daughter, Mary C. Smith and grandson Phillip Hart.

Leota leaves her daughters, Linda Heath, Janice Hart, Carol Salisbury (Lew); stepson, John Owen (Nancy); stepdaughters, Linda Thomopson (Del); Donna Brown; Judy Mahler; 24 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial

Visitation   9:30 to 10:30 am Tues, March 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Mass at 10:30 a.m., burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions
