Leroy H. Bergthold

September 21, 1924 — August 4, 2012

LeRoy H. Bergthold, 87, of Kansas City, MO passed away Aug. 4, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 21, 1924 in Corn, OK to William E. and Marie Bergthold. LeRoy retired after 35 years at Bendix/Honeywell. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Leo, Wilma, Lodema, Waldo, and Bill. He is survived by his wife Catherine of 64 years, by his four children, 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and by siblings; Ernest, Inez, and Raymond. LeRoy was technically skilled in many areas including, engineering, electrical, and mechanical. His chief enjoyment was music; playing guitar and harmonica, and singing hymns. One of his greatest interests was missions, generously supporting ministries which spread the good news that Jesus Christ loved us and died and rose again for the sins of mankind, to provide us forgiveness of sin and eternal life with Him in Heaven. These missions, which also teach and disciple Christians, are in America and overseas. His spoken desire, at the end of life, was that the events that unfolded would both bring people to Christ and create a closer walk with the Lord for those who know him as Savior.

Visitation & Memorial Service

A private family burial was held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, KS. A memorial service will be held Aug. 11, 2012 at Blue Ridge Bible Church, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm.
