Leslee DeShon Adams, 45, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away at her home April 27, 2021. Leslee was born July 25, 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Mary Louise (DeShon) Rice and David Adams. Leslee graduated from Dodge City High School and attended college at Fort Hays State University. After Fort Hays State, Leslee spent her entire career working for Commerce Bank and worked in private banking. Leslee had many accomplishments, but her most cherished accomplishment was her family. Her family brought her the most joy. Leslee adored her mother and loved having her live so close. Leslee and Mary spent a lot of time together and were truly best friends. Leslee’s son Brett was the light of her life. Leslee enjoyed watching Brett play basketball in high school and junior college with family and friends. She was truly a devoted mother. She enjoyed spending time with Brett and his fiancé, Kortney, and she loved her role as grandma to Lennon (age 3) and Porter (age 1). Family and friends will preserve their memories of Leslee and her vibrant personality. She had such a loving and caring nature and a fun spirit for life. She also loved dogs and treated all of them as her babies. Leslee had friends from all walks of life and was loved by all of them! Les was an avid sports fan. She especially loved the KC Chiefs, KC Royals and KU Basketball. A lifelong and fun memory her friends and family will treasure will be the amount of fun it was to attend or watch a sporting event with Leslee. She was quite animated and was almost always the loudest and most loyal cheerleader in the room. Leslee was an absolute treasure to all who knew her. Her voice, her laugh, and her caring nature will always be in our hearts. Leslee is survived by her son, Brett Hamilton and fiancé Kortney Leetch; her mother, Mary Rice; and her two grandchildren, Lennon and Porter. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8th at the Amos Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Leslee’s life will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
