Lester Jacob Clauer

July 10, 1917 — February 17, 2010

Lester Jacob Clauer, 92, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the St. Luke's South Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas.

Lester was born July 10, 1917 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Christian and Meta Clauer. He graduated from Bayview High School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He entered the US Army in 1941 and retired a Lt. Col. in 1965. Lester was a 50 year Mason, belonging to the Roger E. Sherman Masonic Lodge #369 and a long time member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Lester was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Frances M. (Dittmar) Clauer, parents and grandson, Eric Price. Survivors include son, Ronald Clauer and wife, Nancy, Brighton, Michigan; daughter, Cynthia Price and husband, Terry, Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Eleanor Tietgen, Muskego, Wisconsin; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial Services

Memorial services with Masonic services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, June 14, 2010 in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
