Lester R. “Les” Feaster

October 2, 1923 — November 20, 2013

Lester R. Feaster, 90, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Lester was born October 2, 1923, in Fremont, Iowa. Les graduated from Stella High School and looked forward to his annual class reunions. Les served as a Machinist's Mate 3rd class in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and Doss Reavley; his first wife, Virginia Feaster; and second wife E. Maurine Feaster; one brother, Kenneth Feaster; two sons, Robert and Kenneth Feaster; a step son, Ron Barkley.

Les is survived by his son, Raymon Feaster; three step daughters, Judy Barkley, Pat Barkley, Lynette Zinna and husband Ed; a step son, Terry Barkley; sister, Shirley Coggins; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013, with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee Kansas 66203. Burial will be in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
