Lewis Savery, 70, of Asheville, North Carolina passed away on June 24, 2016. Lewis was born July 16, 1945 in Greenpoint, New York to Louis and Mary Savery. Lewis was a lifelong sports enthusiast. Lew excelled at sports, but found his true love was basketball, playing at the collegiate level for St. Franics College. He was an avid NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Rangers and NY Knicks fan. It gave him such joy to coach and watch his children's and grandchildren's achievements. Lewis is survived by his children; Allyson Savery, Jennifer (Greg) Schreck, Kristin (Justin) Menickelli, Katelyn (Ben) Masino and Kerrie (Jimmy Cuffe) Savery, sister, Patty Salovich, eleven grandchildren. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, and sister MaryAnn Craig.
