Lillian “Susie” Milford

Lillian "Susie" Milford, 70, of Olathe, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Olathe Medical Center.

Susie was born, July 10, 1939 to the late Paul and Florence Young in Kansas City, Missouri. Susie was a lady of strong personal faith in God. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a person of multiple artistic talents. Susie graduated from Westport High School in 1957. She was married to Harold Milford on March 25, 1960.

Susie is survived by her loving husband Harold, of forty nine years; son Bruce and his wife Janet, Lenexa, Kansas; grandson Jackson also of Lenexa; and three step-sisters, Shirley Peck, Overland Park, Kansas, Patricia McCollum, Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Karen Stotts, Olathe, Kansas. A son Jeffrey P. Milford preceded her in death in 1999.

The family suggests contributions in lieu of flowers be made American Heart Association-Go Red for Women, 208 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, Illinois 60604.

Visitation and Private Graveside Service

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A private internment will be held at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
