Linda Joyce Anderson

Linda Anderson, 59, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011, at her home.

Linda Joyce Moore was born, September 9, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John V. and Emily (Miller) Moore. She grew up in Lawson, Missouri, and attended Lawson High School and Johnson County Community College. Linda worked with FDIC in both Kansas City and Washington. She was a compliance officer with several banks in the Kansas City area. Linda also work for Legal Aid of Western Missouri.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John Vernon Moore and Emily Faith Irene Miller Moore and her brother David Moore. Linda is survived by her husband, Michael O. Anderson of the home; daughters Shannon Nicholson Crisman of Atlanta, Georgia, and Erin Anderson Pringle of Shawnee; sons Ryan Anderson of Shawnee and Christopher Anderson of the home; as well as eight grandchildren, Kayley and Caiden Anderson, Matthew, Austin and Caleb Crisman, Gracie, Lucas and Sophie Pringle.

A loving matriarch, Linda was the fun loving center of her family. Before her debilitating illness, Linda was an avid gardener who created great beauty in exterior and interior spaces. In later years, she used beads to make her colorful visions come to fruition.

Visitation and Graveside Service

A visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2011, at the Graceland Cemetery, Burlington, Kansas.
