Linda Ann Bowers

Linda Ann Bowers, 69, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 9th, at her home.  Linda was born August 7th, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. She worked for Montgomery Ward and Sprint in her early work years and then worked for DeSoto USD 232 and retired in 2015. Linda was involved in many volunteer organizations during her lifetime including Volunteers in Prisons and the Gracious Promise Foundation. She was the President of the Kansas City Polymer Clay Guild and also a member of the Friends of Johnson County Community College Performing Arts Center, and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. She is survived by her brothers, Charlie Bowers and wife Lyn; David Bowers and wife Mary; beloved nephew Eric Bowers, and beloved nieces Karen Bowers and Jennifer Bowers.

A celebration of Linda's life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 19th at Hampshire Square Clubhouse, 13000 W. 67th Street, Shawnee, KS, 66216.
