Linda J. Foster, 71, of Shawnee, KS passed away peacefully Sept. 10, 2014 at Sweet Life of Shawnee. Linda was born Sept. 1, 1943 in Memphis, TN to Walter L. and Mary Ruth (Sutton) Czirr. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area and was a graduate of Turner High School. She worked most of her career at the Marine Corps Finance Center/DFAS at the Bannister Complex where she retired in 1998. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to brag about her kids and grandkids. In addition she was a diehard Jayhawk, Royals, and Chiefs fan. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Loren Foster and her father Walter Czirr. She is survived by her mother Mary Czirr of Shawnee, her son James "Russ" Walker and his wife Marci and their children Macy and Blake all of Shawnee, daughter Kathy Luckman and her husband Todd and their children Isabelle and Stuart, all of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by her brothers Terry Czirr and his wife Carrie, and Robert Czirr, by sister-in-law Nancy Gomez and her husband Leo, brother-in-law Leland Foster and his wife Jackie, stepsons Kirk and Keith Foster, ex-husband Richard Walker, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins in the West Memphis, Arkansas, and Kansas City areas.

Visitation & Funeral Service

A visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday Sept. 15th also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens Cemetery.
