Linda Carolyn (Mott) Khan

August 17, 1953 — April 13, 2024

Merriam, Kansas

Linda Carolyn Mott Holloway Khan passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 70, in Merriam, Kansas. She was born August 17, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas to Jess and Ruth Mott.

Linda attended Hocker Grove Junior High and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1971. She would go on to work at Continental Can, Desoto School District, and Central Harley Davidson. Her favorite job was being a Mother and Grandmother.

Linda met no stranger. She was a friend to many and was never afraid to say what needed to be said (even if you didn’t want to hear it). She was an investigator and a seeker of knowledge. No matter the topic she would research and find out answers, regardless of the rabbit hole it led down. She loved gardening and tending to her ever-growing collection of orchids.

Linda is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Jess and Ruth Mott, brother-in-law John Larson, and tail wagging companion Bentley. She is survived by her children Jennifer and husband Shane Gorbet, and Joshua and wife Taylor Khan, two grandsons, Jaxton Gorbet and Adrian Khan, and her siblings Jackie Boos, Lorna Larson, and Maurice Mott and nieces and nephews.

A visitation to honor Linda’s life will be held on Saturday April 20th, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at Amos Family Funeral Home (10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS 66203) with a service held at 3pm.

Linda’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her lively spirit, warm demeanor, and ability to bring laughter into any room. May she rest in peace, knowing that she touched the lives of many with her love and humor.

Flowers may be sent to the Amos Family Funeral Home.
