Linda Sue Seay

Linda Sue Seay (Cortright), born in Kansas City, KS on April 19, 1940, peacefully passed away on May 28, 2024, in Tulsa, OK surrounded by family and lifted in love and prayer. She was a beloved daughter of John and Mae Cortright and is survived by her two sons, Chad Seay (Donna Seay) and Todd Seay (Jennifer Seay), as well as her brothers Terry, Tom, and Bret Cortright (Jackie Cortright). Linda was 84 years old at the time of her passing.

Throughout her life, Linda embraced various roles with grace and dedication. From her work as an Administrative Assistant for AT&T to her compassionate service as a Child Care Provider, Nurse, and Secretary for the Kansas City Star, Linda's professional journey was defined by her kindness and commitment to helping others. However, her most cherished roles were those of a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Linda found solace and joy in spending time with her family, crocheting, card-making, and her passion for worshiping God, and nurturing her unwavering faith. Her positive spirit and undying devotion to her loved ones were truly inspirational.

Preceded in death by her father, John Cortright, mother, Mae Cortright, sister Carol, brother Scott, sisters in-law, Connie and Cathy, niece Pam, and nephews John and Sam. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren - Angela, Phillip, Caleb, Sarah, Katelyn, and Anthony - along with numerous nephews, nieces, and great-grandchildren.

A visitation in memory of Linda will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church (15440 Leavenworth Rd. Basehor, KS 66007) on Thursday, June 6th, at 12pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (Parallel Pkwy. & N. 126th St. Kansas City, KS 66109) at 2:30pm.

Linda’s life was a testament to her love of family, resilience, and unwavering faith in the Lord our God. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal light of God's love.
