Lisa Marie Drury

Lisa Marie Drury, 49, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Lisa was born September 17, 1963, to Jerry and Barbara in Estherville, Iowa. She graduated from Algona High School in 1982. After high school, Lisa attended Jackson Community College for Stenography and earned a degree as a Court Reporter in 1984. Lisa was a licensed court reporter in Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. She was a member of the National Court Reporters Association as well as the Iowa Court Reporters Association. Lisa worked for John Bowen and Associates since 2006. She was an avid runner and in December of 2012 she completed the St. Jude's marathon. On December 21, 2009, she married Michael Drury.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Wilberg and grandmother, Ruta Widdel. She is survived by her husband Michael; daughter, Lynn Navrkal and husband Craig; step-daughter, Margaret Drury; her mother, Barbara Adams; five sisters, Terry Robinson and husband Todd, Tammy Cross and husband Danny, Lori Haburn and husband Bryan, Jodi Gifford and husband Todd, and Rhea Webb and husband Jeff; and three grandchildren, Emma, Ava, and Elena.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
