Memorializing the Life of Lloyd
Lloyd was born on April 4, 1940 to Carl Sr. and Lovetta Crockett in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the third of their 16 children and grew up on their family farm. He attended Kansas City Kansas public schools and after serving in the U.S. Army he returned to Kansas and married Janice Trice in 1963 and they had one child.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970 after learning the Bible’s message of a peaceful new world where suffering of any kind will be a thing of the past.
Lloyd enjoyed working on cars and became a mechanic for Kansas City Power and Light. He worked there for 32 years and retired in 2004.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Lovetta Crockett, and brothers, Frank E. Crockett, Tyrone Crockett, Carl Crockett Jr., Lynn Crockett and Lawrence Crockett.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Debra Lynn Wood (Ronald), grandson’s, Reginald Wood (Rebekah) and Ryan Wood. His brothers, Calvin Crockett, Rickey Crockett (Candace), Terry Crockett and David Crockett. His sisters, Deanna Nelson, Doris Ezell, Beverly Waite (Preston), Phyllis Barbosa, Alfreda Wilson (Tommy) and Dorothy Johnson as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and dear friends.
While we are left with all of the precious memories we will miss Lloyd greatly. We are comforted that he is in the unfailing memory of Jehovah God and will be resurrected as promised. Psm 37:29
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the love, kindness and prayers shown to them during this difficult time.
