Lois Ann Dupree

Lois Ann DuPree, 86, Lenexa, KS passed away Friday, Oct. 30 at her home.

Lois was born Feb. 11, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO to Jesse Lew and Hava Irene Gosnell. She graduated from Benton High School. On June 20, 1953, Lois married Orville John DuPree in St. Joseph, MO. They were a very happy couple for 57 years. Lois and Orville were partners in life raising four children. Even though she grew up in poverty, she was always very unselfish, putting others first.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Orville on Nov. 3, 2010, brother, Gerald M. Gosnell and daughter-in-law, Coco DesJardins. She is survived by her four children, Janiece (Rick) Cline, Gregg DuPree, Kevin DuPree and Scott DuPree; three grandchildren, Jenny (Nick) Jamo, Adam (Lisa) Cline and Travis Cline and two great grandchildren, Parker and Grayson Jamo.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS; burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
