Lola Mae Honn, 97, Kansas City, Kansas, passed away at home on Thursday, July 21, 2011.

Lola was preceded in death by three sisters Bertha Boyer, Kathrine Kanakares, Mary Brown, and one son Joseph Ivan Honn,

Lola is survived by one daughter Barbara (Paul) Menninger, Alabama: a brother Nick Kanakares, Olathe, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, Debra Fox, Burbank, California, Steve (Betty) Cagle, Overland Park, Kansas, Christina Alonso, Kansas City, Kansas, Beatrice Cagle, Lees Summit, Missouri, Robin Jones. Augusta, Georgia, Bill (Pam ) Kansas City, Missouri, Tina (Kirt) Seely, Neola Iowa, Wayne (Dana) Honn, Lenexa, Kansas, Anna (Dean) Killpack, Neola, Iowa; 27 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2011, at St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church, 8100 W. 95th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212; burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
