Lon Bounyadeth

Vannachit "Lon" Bounyadeth, 41, of Lenexa, KS, passed away on August 15, 2019.  He was born on May 27, 1978, in Toang Poang, Laos.

He is survived by his parents, Simone and Phouthong Bounyadeth; siblings, Phonethip Bounyadeth, Phonethep Bounyadeth, Sonephet Bounyadeth, Sayphin Hansen, Vongphet Bounyadeth, Anousack Bounyadeth, Saysavat Bounyadeth, Amanda Bounyadeth; along with six nieces and one nephew.

Lon was a very loving person that cared deeply for his family and friends. As a child, Lon enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters. He cherished his time with his nieces. Lon has always been known as a dedicated family man. He was always there to offer support during the good times and bad. Lon always dreamed of starting his own family, living happy and enjoying life to its fullest. He had a great passion for learning, which was evident with maintaining a very high GPA in high school. Lon graduated from Shawnee Mission West HS in 1997.  While at SMW, he made All-State for soccer and traveled around the United States playing competitively. After high school, Lon pursued a career as a machinist, in which he was known as an expert in his field.

The family would like to express a special thanks to all of the friends and family that have continued to provide support as they mourn the loss of Lon.

A funeral service will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25th at 12 p.m.
