Lora L. Blatt

Lora Lee (McCullough) Blatt went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 17, 2022. She died peacefully early Sunday morning surrounded by her loved ones.

Lora was born August 10, 1954 to Tom Bowland and Joan (Iwanicki) Bowland. She was raised in Marshall, MO and graduated from Marshall High School in 1972.

She later moved to Kansas City, MO where she met her first husband Michael D. McCullough of Overland Park, KS. They were married on July 1, 1973 and were blessed with 4 children.

Lora lived her life serving the Lord and sharing His love with everyone around her. Her greatest joy was being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; watching them grow and making memories with them.

Lora retired from the City of Olathe after over 20 years of service.

In 2009 She married Gary Blatt who still resides in their home. Together they enjoyed photography, traveling, and their beloved puppy, Misty. Gary has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Joan Bowland, sister Christine Carver, sister-in-law Ruby Bowland, her first husband Mike McCullough, and his parents Richard and Hazel McCullough, stepmother Drucellia, stepbrother Ray, and stepsister Linda.

Lora is survived by her four children; April Michelle D’Amico (James), Amy Archambeau (Duke), Michael B. McCullough (Kristen), Lisa Purtle (Matt), 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Lora is also survived by her older sister Catherine Hamilton, younger brother Tom Bowland, and younger sister Tina Fowler (Mike), several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor the life and memory of this beautiful soul.
