Loren D. Krone

Loren D. Krone, 84, Shawnee, KS passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at KU Medical Center.  Loren was born Sept. 25, 1932 in Chanute, KS to George F. and Mary J. Krone. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. On Nov. 29, 1958, Loren married Patricia Hofer in Humboldt, KS. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years, retiring as Trainmaster in 1987.

Loren was preceded in death by his wife, Pat on Dec. 9, 1996. Survivors include his son, Donald K. Krone, Lenexa, KS; two granddaughters, Laura and Abby Krone, both of Lenexa, KS; and brother, Donald K. ( Betty) Krone, Chanute, KS.

Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral at 11:30 a. m. Wednesday, July 19 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS, 66203; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery.
