Lorraine Gloria Messmer Kennedy

Lorraine Gloria Messmer Kennedy passed away on April 17, 2012, at the age of 77. Lorraine was born on December 22, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Kennedy; daughter of the late Carl and Alice Messmer; mother of Timothy Kennedy of Omaha, Nebraska, Ellen Polenske (Jeffrey) of Appleton Wisconsin, Daniel Kennedy (Christine Sloboth) of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Jacqueline Peterson (Randal) of Overland Park, Kansas, Karen Powell (Curtis) of Smithville, Missouri, Brenda Sparks (Richard) and Jodi Weiss (Scott) both of Shawnee, Kansas and the late Michael Carl Kennedy. Grandmother of Jonathan and Thomas (Amanda) Kennedy, Lauren and Taylor Polenske, Whitney Vandenberg (Joshua), Ryan, Erin and Connor Peterson, Sean (Angela), Justin and Matthew Powell, Andrew, Ashton and Kayla Sparks, and Braden and Donovan Weiss. Great grandmother to Thomas Kennedy, Jr. and Logan Powell. Sister to Ethel Kattengell of Meraux, Louisiana, and Dolores Herron of Mandeville, Louisiana. Preceded in death by sisters Veronica Unger, Alice Robin, Marion Lora and Yvonne Muhoberac.

Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service will be 12 noon, Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
