Louis W. Smith

Louis W. Smith, 84, of Overland Park KS passed away on April 2, 2016. Louis was born February 19, 1932 in Albion, New York, a devoted Catholic. Bill was ready to be joined with his wife Sally who preceded him in death. Bill proudly served in the Air Force as an Intell Opps Tech as a decoder from 1950 ~ 1954. Bill attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas to play basketball and graduated in 1959. Upon graduation he worked for Congoleum Nairn Floors until 1968 and then started employment at Celotex Corp. until 1978. In 1979 Bill and his wife moved to Kansas City area. In 1985, Bill gave up the corporate world to work independently and successfully in life health insurance. Bill leaves his daughter, Sarla (Jimmy) Nichols, her children; Katie (Greg) Cook and Jordan Nichols (Travis Bradley), two great-granddaughters; Amelia Grace and Madeline Jane Cook all of Memphis, Tennessee. His Kansas City family he leaves, LaTona Wiseman, Kenny, Kaylee and Laura, Missy Ladendorf, Ryan, Lily and Jaxon.
