Louis Urban

Louis (Lefty) Urban, 81 of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away July 12, 2011.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents Alois and Dorothy Urban, a brother Elmo Urban, and a sister Lioba Sanders. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Urban; daughters Patricia Dennis (Tom) and Debora Solar (Rick); son Dale Urban (Mary); grandchildren, Julie Dennis, Rebecca Brockschink (Rob), John Solar, Steven Solar, Joe Solar, Kyle Urban, David Urban; step-granddaughter Julie Cundy (Chris); step-great-grandsons Evan and Will Cundy; brother LeRoy Urban of Kansas City, sister Lenora Stremel, of Hutchinson, Kansas; and sister-in-law Mary Urban of Dayton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5901 Flint, Shawnee, Kansas 66203 or Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas. A Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
