Lyle E. Jones

Lyle E. Jones, 86, Olathe, KS passed away peacefully with family at his bedside Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park, KS. Lyle was born Jan. 1, 1928 in Kansas City, KS to George and Izetta Jones. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the occupation of Japan, following WWII. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 19, and served faithfully in church. He loved teaching and preaching out of the scriptures.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, parents and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include his son, Stephen (Pamela) Jones, Olathe, KS; daughter, Rhonda (Ron) Vincent, Leawood, KS; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
