Mabel Anderson

Mabel (McDowell) Anderson, 92 of Lenexa, Kansas went to be with her heavenly father on November 1, 2020.  Mabel was born on March 8, 1928 to Nina and Will McDowell of Ravenwood, Missouri.  She was an accomplished artist and when she graduated from high school she received a scholarship to study at the Kansas City Art Institute.  In 1952 she fell in love and married Keith Anderson and together they raised 3 strong sons.  A quiet sweet soul, who loved Jesus and never tired of admiring the colors of fall leaves and butterfly wings.  Mabel is survived by sons Paul Anderson, David Anderson (Judith) and Phil Anderson (Jana) and her twin sister and best friend Martha (McDowell) Morrish and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Anderson, brothers Wesley McDowell and Will McDowell, sisters Frances (McDowell) Severino, Margaret (McDowell) Goodwin, Laura McDowell and parents Nina and will McDowell.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Lenexa Baptist Church Friday, November 6, 2020 followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am.

Mabel will be laid to rest in Johnson County Memorial Gardens following her funeral.
