Mabel C. Marin

Mabel (Escolastica Chavez) Marin, 91, of Shawnee passed away August 31, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born February 10, 1922, in Wichita, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Marin and son Jesse Juarez. Mabel is survived by her son Daniel Juarez (Karen), granddaughter Kristina Carignan (Joe), and greatgrandson George Carignan.

She was known by everyone as “Mama”, was an avid doll collector, and loved singing and dancing.

The family wishes to extend special thanks and blessings to the staff of Kansas City Hospice House and the staff at Garden Terrace.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home; services will follow the visitation at the funeral home with burial in Mount St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
