Mae Leckrone

Mae Leckrone, 80, of Shawnee passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Mae was born and raised in Russellville, Arkansas. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1951 and worked for Farmers Insurance Company, and retired after 40 years as a MIS manager.

Mae loved to travel with her husband and garden. She spent all the time she could with her grandchildren, nephews and nieces she will be missed by all who knew her.

Mae is survived by husband of 29 years Gene Leckrone, two children; Steve Leckrone (Lisa), Ann Jackson (Todd), five grandchildren; Jennifer, Matthew, Noelle, Bryce, and Alex, three nephews; Jason, Stephen and Watkins Gray, nieces; Lydia and Annie Vinson, three brothers, Fred (Mary) Gray, William "Ed" Gray, John Robert (Paula) Vinson, and one sister; Pearl Cheek.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS, Monday, May 4, 2015 from 11-12, followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will be at Old Monticello Cemetery.
