Manuel Trevino, Jr.

Manuel Trevino Jr. 69, Merriam, KS passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at his home. Manny was born May 13, 1944 in Pearsall, TX to Manuel Sr. and Pauline Trevino. Later Pauline married Jesse Gonzalez, who raised Manny. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Manny was a plating supervisor for Camco, retiring after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, Manny began working for the Lenexa, KS Parks and Recreation Dept. He was a very proud member of the American Legion Post 327, where he served on the Funeral Honor Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Bowdre Trevino of the home; son, Shannon Trevino, Lenexa, KS; daughter, Kimberly Hinojosa, Missouri City, TX; brother, Gilbert Gonzalez, Ft. Worth, TX and five grandchildren, Megan, Christian, Erica, John and Ava.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 9-10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
