Marci J. Hoffman, 49, daughter of Sandy Hoffman; of Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 at her home.

Marci was born November 3, 1970 in Topeka, KS; she was adopted by her mother, Sandy Hoffman at the age of 2.  Marci attended Shawnee Mission School District Special Education Program at Katherine Carpenter and Sequoyah Schools.  Marci will be remembered for her big beautiful smile that would light up the room.  Her bright personality allowed her to become an ambassador to help people feel more comfortable around the disabled.  She enjoyed listening to all types of music depending on her mood.  Marci enjoyed caring for the birds by her window by making sure they had something to eat all year.

She is survived by her loving mother, Sandy Hoffman; a brother, Michael Hoffman; an uncle, Earl Hoffman and wife Linda; an aunt, Marilyn Shumaker; too many cousins to count; several special friends including Linda Mayer; Christopher Mayer; Kathleen Alas; LeAnn Walters and her special friend and caregiver, Rebecca Mayer.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m.  Marci will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Centralia Cemetery in Centralia, KS.
