Margaret I. Bauman

Margaret I. Bauman, 79, Shawnee, KS passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at Shawnee Gardens.

Margie was born July 9, 1936 in Kansas City, KS to James T. and Margaret Verla Schofield. She attended St. Agnes Catholic School and Mt. St. Scholastica College. On Jan. 31, 1959, Margie married Vincent E. Bauman at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Roeland Park, KS. She was a homemaker and actively involved in her children's activities. Later in life, Margie was employed with the Kansas City Kansan. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent E. Bauman, Sr. on Oct. 17, 2008 and her brother, James T. Schofield. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah A. (Ron) Koelsch, Great Bend, KS, Patricia M. (Pat) Carver, Hays, KS and Shirley A. Bauman, Olathe, KS; two sons, Vincent E. (Paula) Bauman, Jr., Yukon, OK and William "Bill" T. (Darla) Bauman, Tolono, IL; two brothers, Edward L. (Sherryl) Schofield, Edwards, MO and Robert J. Schofield, Lee's Summit, MO; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one on the way.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, Oct. 12 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the funeral home; burial will take place at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
