Margaret J. Deboard

Margaret J. DeBoard, 99 1/2, passed away on October 14, 2017. Margaret was born April 10, 1918 in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy and Mamie Tuttle Chambers. Margaret is survived by her children; Daryl (Lynn) Rupp, Charlotte (Ralph) Gentile, Russ Rupp, Roberta (Allen) Yount and Donald (Virginia) DeBoard, fifteen grandchildren, Melissa, Kelly, Peter, Jeff, Scott, Jesse, Nathan, Micah, Cory, Joe, Jamie, Jina, Travis, DeLacy and Jason and twenty three great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, parents, sister, Ruth Andrews, daughter-in-law, Christine Rupp, grandson, Peter Gentile, and three great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. She raised four children alone while working for Ford Motor Company for over 28 years and continued working other jobs after her retirement. Margaret passionately volunteered at her church, within her retirement community, and the Leukemia Society. Margaret loved to sew, and play bridge and a Wii bowling champion.

A Memorial Service is set for 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Atonement Lutheran Church 9948 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas 66212. Cremation has been chosen.
